Future Inner City Road Network - Egress

Inner City Bypass

Major existing Motorway connecting Pacific Motorway and Brisbane's Western suburbs to Kingsford Smith Drive and Brisbane's Northern and Eastern Suburbs.

North-South Bypass Tunnel (NSBT)

$2 billion underground road connecting the Pacific Motorway and Ipswich Road in Woolongabba with the Inner City Bypass, Bowen Bridge Road and Lutwyche Road in Bowen Hills. NSBT will also connect with Airport Link. Completion of NSBT is due in October 2010.

Airport Link

$3 billion mainly underground road connecting North-South Bypass Tunnel, Inner City Bypass and local road network at Bowen Hills to the northern arterials of Gympie Road, Stafford Road, Sandgate Road, East-West Arterial and the Brisbane International and Domestic Airport. Completion of Airport Link is due in 2012.

Northern Busway

$728 million Northern Busway (Royal Children's Hospital to Kedron) will link with Brisbane's extensive existing Busway network. The Northern Busway project to Northey Street which includes the new Royal Brisbane Hospital Busway Station will be completed by late 2009.
